An international reference, A.C.Camargo Cancer Center is an integrated center for cancer diagnosis, treatment, teaching and research, as well as being a sustainable model for social action. It offers high complexity care, integrated, humanized and focused on the needs and safety of patients, whether from the private health system or the Unified Health System (SUS). Private non-profit institution, maintained by the Antonio Prudente Foundation, in 2017, made 3.8 million visits, more than 60.6% of outpatient clinics dedicated to SUS patients. For 65 years, A.C.Camargo has been the leading oncology education institution in the country, responsible for training more than 1,000 specialists and residents, as well as more than 600 masters and doctors. Scientists, medical teams, and healthcare professionals collaborate to expand cancer awareness and to find new alternatives to better treat and rehabilitate patients. In the last year, 182 scientific articles were published in indexed international journals, generating discoveries that may represent significant advances in the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of the disease. The care practice is based on clinical and scientific evidence, which combined with the case series and the integrated performance of highly specialized multidisciplinary teams, makes it possible to offer the best and most effective therapeutic approach to each patient.
